Dang, we can’t find the page you’re looking for.
We’ve recently redesigned our website, and in the process, some older links have been cut and it looks like you’ve followed one of them here.
If you could let us know what page you were trying to find, it would really help us out, and in the meantime, we’ll point you in the right direction.
Thanks so much!
I just wanted to recount my recent first experience with ordering a custom blend from Yarnia, in Portland, Oregon. I excitedly made up a couple of experimental blends to play around with. When they arrived, one was lovely, but the other, which I had intended to be fairly tonal and heathery was, well …. more like clown barf.
This was all due to one strand of the mix being a much brighter and deeper shade than I had thought. Since the other colours all seemed a good match for what I saw on my monitor, I dropped them a note to say that maybe they should check that. Since I’d only ordered minimal sized cones to experiment with, I wasn’t out much money, so I didn’t bother to ask for a replacement.
Sure enough – they didn’t offer me one, and instead sent me a reply saying they thought the yarn was as shown, but would look into it. (Fair enough!) Much to my surprise, a few days later, they were in touch again to say that actually, the colour was wrong and would I like a new cone of yarn substituting a different colour for the problematic one!
I am very pleased with the replacement, but more than that I’m impressed that they still remembered my little problem a week later and when they noticed the yarn was wrong were so willing to do something about it. Although I’m still getting to grips with knitting with their “funny” un-plied yarn, this has totally made the difference between me buying from them again, or not.
