Welcome to Yarnia, Portland's only DIY (do-it-yourself) yarn store!  If you haven't gotten a chance to come by the shop in person, you can read up on what it's all about at our main website, www.yarniapdx.com. 

You're probably used to only seeing coned yarn used for weaving or machine knitting, but our yarn-on-cones is primarily used by hand knitters and crocheters.  Just set the cone next to you or below you as you work, and knit straight off the cone!

 Even if you don't live in the area, you can still enjoy our custom-blended yarn here in our online shop.  These are some of our most popular yarns, and we've got a selection in whatever weight you might be looking for.  All yarn is sold in 8 oz. increments, aside from the fingering/sock weight yarn, which is sold in 4 oz. increments.  Yardage will vary depending on the yarn weight, but most of these will have enough yarn on them to make a medium-sized project, just with one cone!  (For sweaters and larger projects, you will probably need 2-3 cones.)

Although each unique blend will only have a run of 3-6 cones, our selection will be changing often so check back regularly if the blend you'd like is sold out, or if you can't find quite what you're looking for.
